
Anthony David Gonzalez, born on 27 February 1976, is an ex-American football tightener who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 years. Considered to be one of the most outstanding tight end players ever Gonzalez is the all-time NFL leader in receiving yards and receptions from a tightener, along with ranking third in overall receptions. Gonzalez was selected in the 1st round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He played his first 12 seasons with them. He was also a member the Atlanta Falcons for five of his last seasons. Gonzalez was retired in 2013 and has been an analyst for football at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was recognized for his durability and his ability to not throw a ball. He played in 272 games during the regular season and only fumbled twice with 1,327 touches. Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
